About the author: Ronald Menaker, EdD, FACMPE
Ronald Menaker, EdD, FACMPE, MBA, CPA, has 28 years of experience in medical group practice management. Menaker is on the administrative team at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, he was the executive vice president of Prevea Health Services in Green Bay, Wis., and an assistant director of patient care at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wis. Menaker received his doctor of education degree in organizational development from the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota and a master of business administration in finance from the University of Wisconsin. He is also a certified public accountant. He is a participating adjunct instructor who teaches leadership in the University of St. Thomas Health Care and Evening MBA programs in Minneapolis. Menaker has been actively involved in the Medical Group Management Association and the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), serving on both boards of directors, including as ACMPE chair.
